the first step is the hardest to take, and yet the most rewarding.
we all have to start somewhere. whether it is rooted in frustration, passion, or curiosity, that drive to build a healthier you and taking action is one of the kindest things you can do for your body.
sometimes, we are forced to tackle obstacles completely out of our control.

Take it from me. Diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis at the age of 6, I had no idea that I would spend the rest of my life battling my own immune system. Sometimes, I would be on the losing side of that battle. Always cold and tired, a slow metabolism and a foggy brain acted as what seemed like a permanent cage, holding me back from better wellbeing.
Many healthcare professionals just don’t get it. “Eat less, move more” - the cursed phrase we all hear - despite regularly exercising and consuming well under 1000 calories daily, the weight seemed to continue piling on no matter what I did. frustrated and defeated, I felt that I simply just had to accept my fate.
However, after studying medical nutrition and connecting with healthcare professionals that really understood the role of nutrition in the disease process, I was finally able to see results. By synthesizing the knowledge I had gained from mentors, I was able to find a solution that really worked. No fad diets, no extreme shifts - I had simply healed my body.

stubborn inflammation can signal that the body is fighting - perhaps against itself, the environments we place ourselves in, or even the food we consume on a daily basis.
After many years of trial and error, I was able to pinpoint the key foundations of a healthy life - one that stems from a healthy mind and a healthy gut.
For lasting results, the key is to heal the body.
How do we soothe the body and heal from within?
Stick to the basics. And no, that doesn’t necessarily mean following a paleo diet. Our body is like a machine; the fuel we choose to power it with, the frequency of maintenance we perform on ourselves, and listening to our body’s response to these interventions is essential to seeing real change. There is no “one-size-fits-all” solution, because each body is unique. That’s the beautiful thing about health and wellness, and our diversity should be embraced. That starts with making lifestyle changes that work best for you.
